Today I am reading FIG by Sarah Elizabeth Schantz. I met Sarah in 2008 when she attended Naropa University’s Summer Writing Program (when it was still awesome). From the moment I heard her read her work for the first time, I knew this woman was going to make it huge.
Fig is listed as young adult, but it moves cross genre, in a way every age will adore.
This isn’t a book you will be able to walk away clean from. It will haunt you.
What are you reading for your #FridayReads?
I often get asked, by other writers, who published my books, which I think is a polite way of asking if I’m self-published. I’m not. At least most of my works are traditionally published. I do have some that are self-published, and I’m as proud of them as I am of the others. How you publish shouldn’t matter. For the most part, it doesn’t to readers.
But for the sake of my writerly brethren, here is a list of my books, the pub date, and who published each:
